Denise's touch

We went to Matson's this weekend. Denise added her touches to make our place more like a home. She took down the boxy window treatment and put up curtians. Looks good.Makes it feel more like a home than a camper.

The remodeling has began

We are trying to squeeze every inch of space out of the 5th wheel. There is alot of wasted space. We built and installed slide out shelves in the cabinets by the refridge, this was a 7 in. wide by 24 in. tall by 24 in. deep cabinet. Now it is our pantry.

We installed a 26 in. flat screen LCD TV. Behind the tv we built a cabinet that will hold 12 plastic shoe boxes and still have room left. access is from the side through a mirrored door we built. Below the tv we built book shelves for our photo albums.

Took out the table and 2 chairs, replaced them with a 6 ft. counter top and 2 wooden filing cabinets. More room for computers and still room to eat.

Added extra shelves in the bath room and added an extra dresser in the bedroom.

Looking at retirement

Don't know if we should be excited or scared to death. This happened 2 years ahead of our plans due to General Motors restructuring. I'm going out the door with a 28 year retirement.The wife is scared but very excited to see this great country we live in.

We are in the process of getting rid of everything we can and don't need so we can fit into the 5th wheel. She has been great through this step of it. I think the toughest is to come when we actually try to fit in the 5th wheel and hit the road.
