There's Gators in Florida

We had a beautiful day today. The weather was in the high 70's and sunny. So we decided to make it a day on the water. We put in on the rim canal and headed toward Moore Haven and boy were the gators out. Everywhere we looked we saw gators. Must have seen at least 50 today. The fishing sucked though. We only cought about 5 little blue gills, but who cares with weather like this. Here's some pics we took today.

Did I make a wrong turn

OK We have been in Florida now for 2 weeks and the only beautiful day was the day we arrived. It has been unusually cold. It has frosted 7 nights in a roll now. Everybody says that it will only frost once or twice a year, never more that one night at a time. LOL

Mom told me that I couldn't bring that cold front (that has been with us from the time we left Michigan) this far south. I showed her that truck of mine has more than enough power to pull a BIG cold front to Florida. LOL I think everybody here is ready to tar and feather us, but that's OK at least the tar would be warm while they are doing it.

We have had some days warming into the sixties. Whoopee!!! It's so bad the damn fish won't even bite.

So in conclusion I must have made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up farther north than I planned. I even have the GPS and Onstar lost, because they think I'm in Florida too.

Still can't complain this is better than the weather in Michigan. What a great life. Seeing and doing things we never could before.

OK this is ridiculous. Everybody is mad at us, saying we brought the cold with us from Michigan. That might be why my fuel mileage is so bad, pulling that cold front with us. It has been everywhere we stopped. LOL We've had a frost 3 nights in a roll now. 28 degrees this morning. I was thinking I should be out steelhead fishing. Sounds likes price of fruit will sky rocket. Fishing down here sucks with this cold front. Here is a couple pics of the frost.

Playin with Gators

Denise said she wanted to pet a gator,so I took my camera and her to the water. Sure enough we found one and the pics tell the story. Poor gator had to die because I told her it was the gators head or her hand. Well it was easier to fight the gator than argue with Denise about taking her hand off. LOL
