Deck Under Construction

Well we finally made it back and started on the deck today. The day went good. Got alot done. Here's some pics.

Suicidal Deer

We were on our way to Potawatomie Campgrounds in Coldwater,Michigan to camp with friends when we came across a deer with nothing else to live for. We never saw it just felt a small tug. When I looked in the rear view mirror I seen cars going every where.Stopped to see if we had any damage and saw what you see in the pics. Was not a pretty sight.
I found a ride back to see what hit us and decided the deer was in worse shape than our 5th wheel. It can be fixed, but the deer was so bad we couldn't even get a hamburger off him.
Just a small bump in the road in our new life style.

The things you find while working outdoors

While working on the deck putting poles in the ground, I came up on this nest of birds. I almost trampled on them before I seen them. They slowed me down while working around them. Mommy is setting not to far away chewing my a$$ out when I am to close. They were there first so I will be careful not to harm them while the construction continues.

Stair Update

Here's pics of the stairs as of monday. The deck goes where Denise is standing,it will go out 12ft and be 8ft wide.

Getting Campground Experience

I ran the campground for 2 weekends now. That is the boring part of helping out here. I enjoy the work on the grounds better. Here is some pictures of my latest project. Will post pics when done. It will have an 8x12 deck off the side of it.

We Did It

We have moved into our fifth wheel. Denise must be a magician. She found room to put everything in the fifth wheel. I just kept bringing it in and she some how found room for it. It's amazing it don't look cluttered and looks very homey. We are now staying at Matsons Big Manistee River Campgrounds. Our address is 2680 Bialik Rd. Manistee, Mi. 49660
Denise is having a rough time believing she is retired. She is enjoying it though. We worked hard Saturday organizing, but Sunday we played with the new boat and rested.
